Learn drifting with PADI Drift Diver
The PADI Drift Diver Specialty course introduces you to the coolest magic carpet ride you’ll ever experience. Snippy's Snaps Diving's Drift Diver course shows you how to enjoy rivers and ocean currents by “going with the flow,” staying with your dive partner, communicating with the dive boat and knowing where you are the whole time. But if you’ve never learned how to enjoy a drift to its fullest — not to mention even get in the water amid a strong current — your dive can be disappointing, stressful and oh so short.
The Fun Part
Drift Diving is nearly effortless and relaxing. You simply glide along and enjoy the rush of flying underwater while the current does the work.
What You Learn
During your PADI Drift Diver certification course, you learn about:
Prerequisites
PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
Minimum age: 12 years old
Your Next Adventure
Your Adventures In Diving program Drift Adventure Dive during the PADI Advance Open Water Course may be count towards your Specialty certification at instructor discretion. You may also count this Specialty certification toward one of the five required Specialties for the Master Scuba Diver certification.
After the course, you could take the DPV Course. The Diver Propulsion Vehicle course introduces you to scuba diving with underwater scooters, which can come in handy while drift diving.

- Techniques for staying close to a buddy or together as a group
